In GhostDAG, k was fixed at launch โ€” a hardcoded guess at worst-case network delay. DAGKnight replaces this with a self-adapting k that recalculates every block. When the network is fast, k drops and finality accelerates. When latency spikes, k rises to keep consensus safe.
