Hoosat was created by Tonto, a developer from Finland with a vision for a faster, fairer blockchain. Built on the BlockDAG architecture, Hoosat achieves high throughput while remaining decentralised.
The Stetson at the South Pole stands in his honour. ๐
To appear as a coloured node instead of unknown, your Hoosat node needs to accept inbound connections on:
Ports 42420 & 42421 TCP
What to do: 1. Forward ports 42420 and 42421 TCP on your router to your node's local IP 2. Make sure your firewall allows both 3. Wait for the next crawl (every 4 hours)
โ Risks: Port 42421 is the P2P port used by all public Hoosat nodes โ safe to open. Port 42420 is the RPC port used by the HOOSATWORLD crawler to read your node version. It does not expose your wallet or any funds. Never open your wallet ports.

โน๏ธโ Accepted โ transactions confirmed in the main DAG chain. These coins are spendable.
โ Unaccepted โ blocks found but not selected as part of the main chain (orphaned). These rewards are not spendable. In Hoosat's high-BPS DAG network, many blocks are produced simultaneously and only some are accepted.
